January 1576 - Hampton Court Palace - Part II

A sudden beam of sunlight from the low winter sun escaped the blanket of overcast sky on its way to the horizon - like a cheeky child peeking out from beneath the bedclothes. Briefly the light blazed in through the stained-glass windows above the tapestries, throwing petals of colour over the crowds before surrendering to the night.
